Since achieving a B.A. in English and Drama at Muhlenberg College, David has been acting in NYC for 25 years, while tutoring, coaching, substitute teaching, and now, working as a full time staff ELA teacher with a Master's of arts in Education. David's theatre reviews have been extremely positive: "Tully appears to be one of those actors who can tap into even the most minute detail" (Doug Strassler review for "Hiding behind Comets"). Including many other off-Broadway shows, David received a rave New York Times Review for "Kite Cut Loose In The Middle Of The Sky" in which "Ms. Challis and Mr. Tully, under Russell Waldman’s direction, give us real theater". David played the lead (Jeff) in Suburbia which won an off-Broadway review (Innovative Theater) award with wonderful reviews. "David Tully's performance as the thoughtful, frustrated Jeff is truly riveting, his lines seem unscripted"- by Karen Barrow for "Suburbia". David can be seen on the big screen and small. He plays the lead in a feature called “The Falls” available in stores/online such as Barnes and Noble and Amazon Prime. David plays supporting roles in the features: "The Fast Life", “Saturday Morning”, and co-stars in another feature called "Zerosome". He has been seen in Boardwalk Empire, Law and Order SVU, The Good Wife, Blue Bloods, and many other television shows.
Through my family, I have been exposed to the performing arts since as long as I can remember. Traveling throughout the world with my stand up comedian father was my introduction to the stage. I always knew it was where I was meant to be. That love has branched out into film and television as well and I could not be happier with the results.
